1300 release dance-driven ode to bread ‘BANGALANG’
PRAISE FOR 1300
“Reshaping the local hip hop landscape”
“It might sound like the plot of a premise of a TV show: a bunch of guys with ordinary day jobs moonlight as one of Australia’s hottest rising acts. But for the members of 1300, that’s simply reality”
“1300 deliver a mind-bending piece of overdriven club-rap”
“Even so 1300 made a name for itself among listeners in Australia for its unique sound, and now it has turned its attention to Korea, where there is an audience that will immediately understand their lyrics”
“…1300 catapults you into the future and leaves you to fill in the blanks of how you got there.”
“Their music evades simple definition – it’s a mix of hip-hop, punk, pop and more. Above all, though, it’s highly danceable”

1300 return with their latest dance-ready single, ‘BANGALANG’, their first single of the year released today under JADED. LISTEN + WATCH HERE.
On ‘BANGALANG’ the Korean-Australian alternative hip-hop group explores pop sonics incorporated with pokari.sweat and Nerdie’s strong bass, dance-driven production intended to invoke fun, spontaneity, and playfulness – true to the spirit in which it was made: during one of their weekly studio sessions, rapper DALI HART spontaneously busted out the hook, “Bangalang alang alang alang alang,” which he ended up punching in the booth.
In it, DALI HART, along with rako and goyo, trade bars around bread (빵 ‘ppang’ in Korean), from beloved Asian-style baked goods to croquettes. “It’s a song literally about bread,” 1300 says about the track. “It’s not that deep; it comes from a sense of play and we just wanted to have fun again.”
1300’s first official project since the release of their 2024 mixtape, GEORGE, the five-piece recently wrapped up a round of promotions in LA in May to showcase the single ahead of release. Earlier this year, they made a televised appearance at ABC’s New Year’s Eve 2025 concert at the Sydney Opera House.
‘BANGALANG’ is the first release under JADED’s label. JADED is a multi-platform independent music company headquartered in Los Angeles. JADED develops, services, manages, and promotes the best emerging Asian artists from around the world.
