Rain Dogs

Rain Dogs are an electronic post-punk trio from Melbourne, Australia, consisting of vocalist Tom Murchie, bassist Luke Scott, and guitarist Jushung Lam. Known for their elusive presence and gothic, discordant, vampiric sound, the band has quickly built a strong underground following. Their debut EP was released on Melbourne-based label Jpeg Artefacts to significant underground acclaim.

In early 2025, Rain Dogs completed a successful tour of China and Japan, followed by their first EU/UK tour later that year, playing shows in Paris, Berlin, London, Belgrade, and Tbilisi.

Resavoir

Resavoir is the work of Chicago-born and based musician, composer and producer Will Miller. Miller is a jazz trumpeter and composer by training – first via Chicago Public Schools, then Oberlin Conservatory. As an instrumentalist he’s played on recordings by Chance The Rapper, Lil Wayne, Mac Miller, and for several years was a regular member of the indie band Whitney. Since 2016 he’s moved more and more in the direction of all around “producer” – working with an expanded palette of synths, pianos, live and programmed drums in addition to his MIDI-augmented trumpet, he developed a signature cinematic soul-jazz sound rooted in hip-hop structures, heard through his work on tracks for Eryn Allen Kane, Whitney, Knox Fortune, and SZA’s recently-released album SOS (which spent 10 weeks as the #1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart). In 2019 Miller released Resavoir’s debut album Resavoir to high praise, including a glowing 8.2 review in Pitchfork. Later that year, Miller and his live version of the Resavoir band (featuring former Noname musical director Akenya, saxophonist/vocalist/MC Sen Morimoto, and others) did their London debut as part of the first Boiler Room Festival. While they were in London, they did a recording session at Total Refreshment Studios. One of those recordings was a cover of the Charles Tolliver song “Plight,” and the track was released by Blue Note Records as part of the compilation Transmissions from Total Refreshment Centre. Miller spent much of the pandemic years in his studio, and much of 2022 on tour with Whitney. In 2023, Resavoir released their second self-titled album, a more polished and focused presentation of Miller’s evolving skills as a studio producer, with his compositional touch more articulate than ever. The collection’s eleven tracks feature a massive list of contributors including Elton Aura, Whitney, Akenya, Matt Gold, Eddie Burns, Lane Beckstrom, Jeremy Cunningham, Irvin Pierce, Macie Stewart, Peter Manheim and more. Across 2024, Resavoir released several singles including “Life Before,” a Knox Fortune remix of their track “Future,” and a live-in-studio cover of “Love Theme from Spartacus.” Resavoir capped off 2024 with a grand performance at Chicago’s Thalia Hall under the name Orchestra Resavoir, with Miller arranging a program of his Resavoir compositions for an 18-piece philharmonic. In August 2025, Orchestra Resavoir returned for a performance at Chicago’s iconic Jay Pritzker Pavilion as part of Millennium Park’s Summer Music Series.

In 2025, Miller and guitarist Matt Gold released Horizon on International Anthem, a collaborative album that grew from their shared love of 1960s and ’70s Brazilian music. In spring 2026, Miller self-released a new Resavoir album, Themes for Dreams (l’univers). He also joined Gregory Uhlmann’s ensemble for a run of album release shows, alongside Resavoir performances at BiG Culture and Arts Festival, Reflections events in Chicago and Detroit, and most recently the Montréal Jazz Festival.

When Rhymesayers Entertainment first came to be in the mid-90’s, the independent Hip Hop scene was just beginning to flourish—perhaps one of the most prominent indie Hip Hop moments to date. Since that time, the landscape has changed dramatically, and most of the indie Hip Hop labels from that period no longer exist. However, thanks to a solid foundation of talent, wisdom and diligence, paired with an unending desire for growth and diversity, Rhymesayers is still here today, over two decades later.

The Rhymesayers collective was born in the early 90’s, out of equal parts necessity and opportunity, in a local scene hungry for Minnesota talent to rise. The crew, comprised of a handful of talented artists from Minneapolis & Saint Paul, started building their name by regularly performing in local coffee shops and selling their “Headshots” tapes and merchandise as a means to invest into their future.

Years of hard work and reinvestment came to fruition with the founding of Rhymesayers Entertainment in 1995, and its first official releases —1996’s full-length debut from Musab (formerly Beyond), Comparison, and 1997’s full-length debut from Atmosphere, Overcast!. These two releases fueled interest in the label and helped catalyze its expansion to other markets outside of the Twin Cities such as Madison, Milwaukee, Boulder, Denver, Chicago and more, setting the stage for what would become one of their strongest and most enduring qualities: touring and live performances.

While the Rhymesayers lineup initially focused on local talent like Musab, Atmosphere, Eyedea & Abilities, and Brother Ali, rigorous touring and consistent exposure helped the label to connect with other like-minded artists throughout the country, which led to new signings and an even more dynamic roster. Additions like MF DOOM, Soul Position, Aesop Rock, Sa-Roc, Evidence, and many others, all played a role in diversifying the label’s sound.

The same desire for diversity and growth that has served as a cornerstone of Rhymesayers origins is embedded in its culture, and at the core of its commitment to do business responsibly. With a focus on Social Justice and Creative Arts, Rhymesayers supports and partners with organizations through in kind donations, mentorship, fundraising, community programming, platform sharing, employee volunteerism, and charitable giving.

Remaining true to its independent ethos and original principles and philosophies, Rhymesayers continues to grow and evolve.

Rich Brian

Growing up homeschooled in Indonesia, Brian found the Internet to be his English teacher and window to the world beyond. After moving to America alone at the age of 17, Brian has been both awed and humbled by his experiences, as they simultaneously smack him down to Earth and lift him up. After making the leap to America, Brian has experienced all the glory of “making it” – from collaborating with the likes of 21 Savage, Offset, and Playboi Carti, to selling out shows and playing festivals around the world. Brian’s debut project Amen, released in February 2018, garnered widespread critical acclaim and topped the iTunes Hip-Hop charts – a first in history for an Asian musician. Brian followed up The Sailor with the 1999 EP: A sonically diverse project borne out of months of social isolation, the majority of the EP is both self-written and produced. In 2022, Rich Brian made history as one of the first Indonesian artists to play a solo headline set at Coachella and attract 10 million monthly listeners on Spotify.

RIO KOSTA

The sound of RIO KOSTA, aka Mike Del Rio & Kosta Galanopoulos, echoes much of their respective heritages – with Kosta’s Greek background further flavoured by time in the Bahamas, and Mike being inspired by his Spanish and Italian roots, his time growing up in New York, and especially revisiting his identity following the passing of his Puerto Rican grandmother. Just as their music breaks free from genre constraints, their journey crosses borders without the need for a metaphorical passport. You could visualise them lost in the moment as day drifts to night at Coachella, like spiritual cousins to Khruangbin, but you could just as equally imagine them amidst the psychedelic haze of the original Woodstock.
