With the match lit for her forthcoming debut album, Anna Lunoe ascends to the natural next level in ‘Polite’. An example of her sharp-ear production, ‘Polite’ marks the next taste into the 360-degree view of growth and regeneration that unfastens itself across the album Pearl. The track is a state of flux between UK garage and warehouse influences, with Anna testing the outer limits of club music through a hard-hitting bassline. Anna shares “This tune has proven universally a club favourite of the bunch. I’m really proud of the combination of influences melting into its own sonic experiment. Shanique’s vocals take it even further into a lane of its own”
The feature of Jamaican vocalist Shanique Marie aligns Anna’s work with punchy verses that drip with self assuring themes. Following on from Anna’s lyrical message that we saw introduced ‘Pearl’ of staying true to your own vision, ‘Polite’ sees Shanique adds a level of playfulness and independence with verses like “Good gyal neva keep it polite”.

Her upcoming album Pearl works to re-anchor Anna’s sonic identity as an artist through her expansive palette that margins techno, garage, bass, rave, indie dance and more often than not, her own high spirit vocals. Earnest and incandescent, the album is Anna Lunoe exploring her fascination with how music connects us, not afraid to take listeners on a left turn before bringing them back to a place of catharsis. Featuring recent singles ‘Pearl’, ‘Real Love‘, ‘Deep Blue Sea‘, ‘Right Here‘ with TEED and ‘Only Love’ with Y U QT which have seen global support by triple j, FBi Radio, BBC Radio 1 and Kiss FM UK alongside praise from Mixmag Australia, Rolling Stone AU/NZ, DMY, Billboard and more, ‘Polite’ is another thread into her ability to open herself up and re-approach her love for dance music from a new lens.
The Eora/Sydney-born and based multi-talent has built a career few can rival and a reputation as a revered voice, leader, and pioneer in dance music globally. Anna Lunoe has always been at the cutting edge of electronic music, whether in her own productions, her collaborations with the likes of Chris Lake, Flume, Skrillex as well as a history of collaborating with emerging stars including Notion, DJ Boring System, Jamie Unknown and CC:Disco among others. Between her glass ceiling smashing sets on the world’s biggest festival stages, or her career-defining role helming global club music show HYPERHOUSE on Apple Radio, she has always stayed devoted to spotlighting the most boundary-pushing new sounds, exploring every corner of club music, and finding what feels truest to her, combining the perspective that experience brings with a new clarity, vision, and energy.
In celebration of the upcoming album, Anna Lunoe has announced she will be supporting The Weeknd on tour in Australia this November, along with a show in London supporting Dom Dolla at Drumsheds London, and a North American headline run. All dates and details below.
