Winter Forever is out May 8th

Today, Baby Jane — an emerging star whose enigmatic blend of ethereal witch house, hardstyle, Eastern European electronica, and deep artist lore has amassed a devoted following verging into the millions — announces Winter Forever, a new album out May 8. Informed by Russian pop classics and brutalist imagery spanning from medieval gothic and Berghain high fashion to post-modern cult aesthetics and peak Tumblr-era romanticism, Winter Forever is a triumph of Baby Jane’s auteurist approach to world-building: a statement-making project that excavates the abandoned corners of nostalgia and resurrects them as high voltage dancefloor anthems.

Alongside the album announcement, Baby Jane shares “Malvina.” Boasting accordion textures, minor-key melodies, and verses in both Russian and English alluding to the iconic 1970s Russian adaptation of Pinocchio (known as Buratino), it’s a vivid and ambitious composition that imbues arena-scale EDM with the emotional stakes of Doestoevsky and the magical realist touch of Bulgakov.

As Baby Jane elaborates: “The track weaves Russian and English seamlessly within its structure, moving between languages mid-line while maintaining melodic cohesion. Production-wise, it also nods to Romanian ‘popcorn’ dance music, blending Eastern European club influences with chanson’s dramatic undercurrent.”

Throughout its twelve tracks, Winter Forever traces a spirit navigating nihilism and emotional desolation, only to find freedom through surrender to rhythm, to movement, to the body dissolving inside sound. Drawing from the raw micro scenes of internet-born bedroom hardstyle, Baby Jane carves a lane entirely her own. This is an artist who thrives in paradox: introversion and escapism, sadness and liberation, isolation and transcendence. Winter Forever is not an escape from the cold, but a consecration of it — a quiet signal of life against concrete vastness.

Through her elaborate storytelling and striking visage, Baby Jane is collapsing the boundary between artist mythology and festival catharsis, incorporating cold surrealism and ethereal horror. As part of her spellbinding live performances, she dons a Branks, a medieval torture mask historically worn by women to gossip or talk too much — a statement of her own defiant ethos and a sharp outlier in the visual language of electronic music festivals. For her legions of fans (700k followers across platforms), she’s devised an entire religious manifesto called Terem: a Heaven’s Gate-esque community centered around ideologies of self empowerment, a direct line of correspondence with the Divine, and a sense of community through meditation and positive philosophies.
