DJANDJAY is out now, buy/stream here.

Six-time ARIA Award winner and proud Yolŋu artist Baker Boy today shares the news that he will be joined by thatboykwame on support across his national DJANDJAY headline tour this April-May, presented by Handsome Tours, Lunatic Entertainment, Select Music, and triple j. Tickets are on sale now. BUY HERE.

The tour celebrates the release of DJANDJAY, Baker Boy’s fearless and emotionally expansive second album released in October last year. If Gela introduced a bright new voice in Australian music, DJANDJAY signals a creative leap – thematically deeper, sonically broader, and unflinchingly personal. Named in honour of both his late grandmother and the Yolŋu spirit guide she shares a name with, the album marks a turning point for Baker Boy as he steps further into his identity, his power, and his global vision.

thatboykwame is an artist and producer with a multitude of accolades under his belt. Crafting the principles of his art through unique story-telling, production, lyricism, visuals and theatrical components in both a live setting or a body of work, his music is characterised by the principles of open-endedness and nonlinearity, leaving audiences intrigued and inspired. With a multitude of accolades under his belt, including the triple j Unearthed J Award in 2018, FBi Smac Award for Best Song and a catalogue of over 30 million streams across all platforms, thatboykwame has built on an ever-growing wealth of industry fanfare with support from the likes of Zane Lowe and A$AP Ferg, who first thrust the young musician into the literal spotlight.

Across the tour, Baker Boy will showcase material from DJANDJAY, a record shaped by spiritual legacy and personal transformation. Blending ancestral influences with sharp-edged global production, the album folds in Yolŋu Matha, English, and Burarra across a dynamic soundscape that spans hip-hop, punk, gospel, and electronic textures. Singles like ‘PEACEKEEPER’, ‘FREAK OUT’ (feat. Briggs and Haiku Hands), and ‘THICK SKIN’ (feat. Thelma Plum, Emma Donovan, Kee’ahn & Jada Weazel) speak directly to the album’s core: resilience, reclamation, and refusing to be boxed in.

A brand new show that promises the full scale of Baker Boy’s vision, the DJANDJAY tour is a fresh production designed to give fans something they haven’t experienced from Baker Boy before.
