‘Cell’ streamlines carnage. Distilling Behind You’s influences to their purest form, cultivating the group’s clearest chantable declamation: “How do you even communicate with yourself? Is dealing with the inner critic a process of eliminating them, or befriending them? Stargaze all the puddles in the cave, pull my muzzle on my face, never say whatever I said…”
Complete with music video shot over a several days on location in Los Angeles and Las Vegas, BY frontman Harry Welsh and director Gabriel Gasparinatos carved out an improvised story about a psyche in battle – two sides of the same coin caught in a toxic push-and-pull that neither of them can escape. Their singular practice collides sound and video to birth a surreal fantasy, were nihilism and extreme subversions of character, distorted with bad habits, beg the consideration of humanity’s base values and behaviours.

The formation of vocalist Frank Fisher, producer Joe Goddard and percussionist Dylan Clay, Behind You have steadily crafted a reputation as one of Eora / Sydney’s cult, must-see live acts since 2017.
