‘90’s Baby (ft DatBreddaDom)’ is out now via NLV Records, buy/stream it here.

Burgeoning Eora-based artist and producer Big Skeez today announces the release of his debut mixtape, Work Don’t Stop, coming soon via NLV Records. With the news, he also shares a brand new single, the vibrant ‘90’s Baby (ft DatBreddaDom)’. LISTEN HERE + WATCH THE VISUALISER HERE.

Work Don’t Stop is a release that holds a defined sense of originality, all while enveloping a collective experience that is a proud sense of being simultaneously from and for a community. With his ability to plant himself alongside global stars like Obongjayar, J Hus, and Burna Boy, Big Skeez blends a variety of styles without hesitation, immersing himself in the sounds of Africa, Afrobeat, Dancehall, Reggae, and R&B that have been studied from his parents and “borrowed” from older siblings in between his years of consistent output.

Priming listeners for a debut mixtape that’s set to showcase this true creativity, Big Skeez leans in with ‘90’s Baby (ft DatBreddaDom)’, sharing that “the song is about just having a great time with your family and friends partying and enjoying best memories together. Dom came down to Sydney for a weekend and we were just vibing in my studio listing to some of my unreleased records I was showing him and I showed him ’90s Baby’ and he loved it so I told him he should get on it and write a verse, which he did, and we ended up recording his vocals that night.”

Whereas ‘Go Back Home’ explored a more deep side to Big Skeez, ‘90’s Baby (ft DatBreddaDom)’ turns his attention to the fleeting present. Richly textured, the track is built around an afrobeat palette and pulls together crisp percussion with an upbeat production. With a hard-hitting bassline and anthemic pop vocals, ‘90’s Baby (ft DatBreddaDom)’ marks the next taste of what will be revealed soon in his forthcoming mixtape, a release that is boldly personal with intent grounded in reality.

Joining his previously releases ‘Work Don’t Stop’, ‘No Trace’, ‘Where Yuh From’, ‘Up’, ‘Bang’ and the most recent ‘Go Back Home’ which scored playlisting across triple j, triple j Unearthed, FBi Radio and praise from Acclaim Magazine, Pilerats, Music Feeds, Take Flight and more. Work Don’t Stop is Big Skeezat his most heartfelt and sincere, and at it’s core in constant conversation with his roots, tracing back generations and running across continents. Offering a different light to the surfeit of music that is currently emanating from his hometown, the project lies in a clear-cut, melodically-driven lane of his own.
