Sydney’s breathe. today share their latest single, ‘Home’. Listen and watch HERE

The band share: “Home was written about the feeling of losing someone special, and in the aftermath needing to be connected with your people and places. The song was inspired by collaborators TC Alone (Canada) and Dylan Wright (Australia), who both have lost loved ones. As the pandemic kicked off and borders closed the reality of how isolated everyone was dawned on us. We asked friends and collaborators all around the world to help us bridge the global connection-gap by filming precious moments on their phones – we asked them to capture that feeling of “home” and “belonging”, however that can look.

With ghostly vocals and a grainy backbeat, ‘Home‘ is a black-and-blue version of breathe.’s bruised, late-night soul. Watch the music video below.

The ‘Home‘ music video was shot in 17 different countries by 25 different friends, entirely captured on mobile phones. breathe.’s new film clip peers through small windows into their friend’s lives – the people, places and moments that make us feel safe and connected, from life-long partners dancing in their living room to dolphins gliding through their natural habitat, to protesters marching against the ecological collapse of planet earth. Shot in France, Canada, Venezuela, Australia, Italy, Germany, Sri-Lanka, India, Belarus, Ukraine, Belgium, Russia, Vietnam, Spain, Portugal, USA, and the UK, the video features some key collaborators being Ta-kuJono MaKinder, and Lester Jones

Just their fifth single to date, ‘Home‘ comes after the previously released ‘Are You All Good?‘, ‘London‘, ‘Haze‘ and ‘Grace‘, all of which received support from XLR8R, The Line of Best Fit, Complex, HypebeastFBi Radio and more. ‘Home’ follows on from most recent single, ‘Grace‘, a stunningly affecting tribute to survival, strength, queerness, and community dedicated to Tommy Walker, the twin of band member Sean, and their recovery from a life-threatening motorcycle accident. Following those singles, ‘Home’ is the final track to be released from the group’s debut self-titled EP, which is available on a limited run of vinyl alongside a free physical copy of an accompanying photo zine via their website now
