Cameron Winter announces one-night-only Australian exclusive
PRAISE FOR Cameron Winter 2026 AU Tour
“Bolstered by timeless arrangements that are by turns folksy, soulful, and neo-classical, Winter establishes himself as a songwriter par excellence.”
“It listens like a hidden gem, but it's easy to connect with, which is the perfect combination for a modern classic.”
“The Geese frontman puts out his solo debut album with an evocative, humorous yet solemn force.”
“These songs channel Leonard Cohen’s solemnity with a beat poet’s hallucinations… in a way that makes obvious why they demand to exist in a project of their own.”

Cameron Winter – best known as the voice and restless engine behind Brooklyn art-rock outfit Geese – will bring his singular debut solo album Heavy Metal to Naarm/Melbourne this summer, performing a one-night-only, Australian-exclusive show at the Forum on Monday 9 February.
Presented by Handsome Tours and Laneway Presents, this performance marks Winter’s first appearance on Australian soil as a solo artist. Pre-sale begins Thursday, 7 August at 9.30 AM local time. General on-sale opens Friday 8 August at 9.30 AM local time. MORE INFO HERE.
Released in December on Partisan, Heavy Metal plays like a fragmented diary of transit and alienation – part improvisational sketch, part existential thesis. Composed on the move, in borrowed rooms, taxi back seats, and late-night public spaces, the album captures the disorientation of constant motion and the psychic static of modern life, filtered through Winter’s elliptical humor and off-kilter delivery. Here, Winter trades Geese’s wiry post-punk for something murkier and more intimate, echoing Arthur Russell, Scott Walker, or early Eno, yet landing fully in his own fractured world.
His Naarm/Melbourne appearance offers a rare opportunity to hear these songs rendered live, in a room as expansive and characterful as the music itself. See dates and details below.
