Cautious Clay shares ‘Swim Home’ co-written and produced by John Mayer + featured on 13 Reasons Why

August 9 2019

Multi instrumentalist, vocalist and producer Cautious Clay today releases new single ‘Swim Home’. Written seven months after meeting John Mayer for the first time, the two co-wrote and produced the single. Watch HERE. On working with Mayer, Cautious says: “I had just started getting into collaborating with other people and truly had never experienced a more natural creative flow while making this song.”

Premiered on KCRW, the new single will be featured in the forthcoming soundtrack for Season 3 of Netflix series 13 Reasons Why. This is the first of new music from the artist since his acclaimed Table of ContextEP, which features Tobias Jesso Jr. and Hudson Mohawke on ‘REASONS’ plus UMI on ‘SATURDAY MORNING CARTOON’.

Table Of Context and now ‘Swim Home’ are a bold example of Cautious Clay’s evolving artistry, previously receiving praise from Pitchfork, The New Yorker, Hypebeast, Pigeons & Planes, Billboard and more. Born Josh Karpeh, the Brooklyn based musician has toured globally with John Mayer, Omar Apollo, Tayla Parx, AlunaGeorge, Petit Biscuit, Lil Silva and more. NPR called his Tiny Desk Family Hour performance a “wow” moment and Karpeh shows no signs of slowing down.

Cautious connected audiences at Lollapalooza to his sonic world and will continue to do so at Electric Forest, Boston Calling and more this summer. Plus a run of European and North American shows – details below.
