In the wake of their sold out Northcote Theatre show, Cloud Control today announce a second date at the venue, with additional appearances in Margaret River and Morton for their upcoming Bliss Release 15 Year Anniversary Tour. BUY TICKETS HERE.

Earlier this month Cloud Control were embraced by a riotous legion of fans at a sold out secret show at Sydney’s Factory Floor, ahead of a triumphant River Sounds set – a preview of the anticipation the group’s upcoming anniversary celebration is set to capture for the psych-folk album that soundtracked a generation and cemented Cloud Control in the Australian music canon.

The Blue Mountains raised Alastair Wright, Heidi Lenffer, Ulrich Lenffer and Jeremy Kelshaw’s return showcases not only their kindred spirit on-stage, but the ease with which the group slid back into the swing of things ahead of a dream run of rooms – most notably their debut Enmore Theatre headline – across so-called Australia. With tickets half way sold out in just weeks, Cloud Control’s Bliss Release tribute is not to be missed.

The Bliss Release 15 Year Anniversary Tour continues the band’s commitment to creating an environmental legacy, partnering with FEAT.’s “Solar Slice” touring initiative. $1 from each ticket sold will fund a ground-breaking, indigenous-led biodiversity regeneration program on Lungtalanana (Clarke Island), an 8,200 hectare island north of Tasmania.

This is a multi-stakeholder partnership led by the Tasmanian Aboriginal Centre and supported by GreenCollarWWF, and FEAT. that aims to restore the degraded habitat of key native species, and re-introduce animals including the Bass Strait wombat and long-nosed potoroo – more on this project to come ahead of the tour.

Making waves everywhere in 2010, Bliss Release scoured critical acclaim from all corners: the Australian Music Prize, AIR’s Independent Album Of The Year, an fbi.radio SMAC Award and ARIA nominations for their anthems ‘Gold Canary’ and ‘There’s Nothing In The Water We Can’t Fight’, that reached #18 in the triple j Hottest 100 and ‘Just For Now’ would feature in the Magic Mike movie soundtrack. Bliss Release took the outfit to Laneway Festival, Meredith, Splendour In The Grass and beyond, establishing Cloud Control as a staple across Australian festival line ups long into their career.  With a reputation as a formidable live band, the group would go on to support major acts as Supergrass, Vampire Weekend, Weezer, Metronomy, The Drums, Foo Fighters, Local Natives and even relocating to London to tour extensively across the US and Europe – a testament to Cloud Control’s live resume, with much of the album that catapulted them coming together against a backdrop of bars and band rooms in Sydney. Come May-June, Bliss Release’s 15 year anniversary tour presents an opportunity to retrace and celebrate one of the country’s lauded acts’ breakout moment.
