PRAISE FOR Waylon Wyatt
“Waylon Wyatt Is Putting His Own Spin on Red Dirt”
“He might be barely out of high school, but Waylon Wyatt sings like he carries the weight of the world on his shoulders. And somehow, hearing someone else bear that heavy load makes your own baggage seem a little lighter”
“Wyatt offers gravelly, raw vocals that unapologetically shine against his sparse sonic landscape”
‘Pretty Little Liar‘ is out now, buy/stream it here.

Produced by Ian Fitchuk (Kacey Musgraves, Maggie Rogers, Jelly Roll), the track finds him reaching new sonic heights, pairing a striking harmonica intro and assured vocals with layered instrumentation on bass, banjo, and pedal steel. Waylon’s devoted fans quickly memorised every word of ‘Pretty Little Liar’, now a staple of his live shows featuring harmonica and fiddle.
‘Pretty Little Liar’ evokes a classic, old-time quality, but could only be written by somebody so close to the relatable ups and downs of high school. On stage each night, Waylon introduces the origin of the song, “I wrote this song Junior year of high school, there was a girl spreading rumours about me, bad rumours at that.” Vulnerability is at the forefront of ‘Pretty Little Liar’, as Waylon describes the feeling of deception, “Cause no babe I didn’t start the fire, I’m just trying to put it out, I don’t know you babe you’re just a pretty little liar, best get my name out of your mouth.”
Last month, following the release of ‘Wishbone‘, a tender guitar waltz, Waylon embarked on a sold-out 35+ date headline tour with a handpicked roster of openers—Dom Ellis, gabrielle hope, Elizabeth Nichols, Angel White, Colton Bowlin, and Jack Van Cleaf. With the first leg complete, he heads to Australia for his debut shows before returning stateside in Denver, CO on October 31.
2025 marked Waylon playing his biggest festival shows yet, including Stagecoach, Cavendish Beach Music Festival, FairWell Festival, and to passionate fans in Hyde Park opening for one of his greatest heroes, Zach Bryan. The Daily Mirror raved, “Armed with nothing more than a guitar and a collection of raw, heart-on-sleeve songs, Wyatt drew a large and curious crowd early in the at Hyde Park.” He’ll return to Europe performing at the Country Music Festival (C2C Fest) across multiple European cities in March 2026, including Berlin, Rotterdam, Stockholm, Oslo, Copenhagen, and London.
Spotify homegrown recently released a mini-documentary profiling Waylon during his last week of high school. The short doc covers Waylon’s upbringing, work-school balance, and culminates in a performance at his high school prom. Watch his story unfold in the full mini doc on his YouTube HERE.
This past June, Waylon released his sophomore EP Out Of The Blue, an amalgamation of the burgeoning country influences that carries a rustic, stripped-down quality. His innocence and warmth is captured through his honest yet piercing lyrics. LISTEN HERE. The EP includes ‘Smoke & Embers‘ (with Willow Avalon), a fan favourite on tour as Waylon has been inviting a lucky fan from the crowd to sing with him on stage each night.
Waylon Wyatt is an 18-year-old folk/country artist from Hackett, Arkansas, whose raw, red-dirt sound draws inspiration from modern trailblazers like Tyler Childers and Zach Bryan. He began crafting songs as a kid, often after long days working construction with his father. Staying true to his roots, Waylon recorded and produced his debut EP Til The Sun Goes Down in his parents’ rec room—a release that has since amassed over 225 million streams and earned gold certification from “Arkansas Diamond.” Praised for his fresh take on Americana, Waylon has quickly become one of country music’s top emerging voices. His debut headlining tour sold out across the U.S., Europe, and Canada, and he recently followed up with the critically acclaimed sophomore EP Out Of The Blue, earning a 9.1 rating from Country Central. In 2025, Waylon will embark on his biggest tour yet, headlining major venues across the U.S. and appearing alongside Zach Bryan at Hyde Park and Turnpike Troubadours at Red Rocks.
