Swedish alt-pop producer vocalist DJ Suzy today announces her debut album Kira Krash, out October 23 via her own imprint Kira Krash. Marking the news is her latest offering ‘sw33t’. LISTEN HERE + PRE-SAVE LP HERE.

The project of DJ Suzy is embedded in meticulous world-building, with a sound that takes shape through earnest depictions of connection in the digital age. Since the release of her debut single ‘Wings’ in 2023, DJ Suzy quickly returned with her debut mixtape Haunted Disc in late-2024 and Haunted Disc (Remixes) in 2025, which featured tracks including ‘Digital Girl’, ‘Caught By A Wind’ and her own funk remix of ‘Digital Girl’.

Heavily championed outside of her home in Stockholm, DJ Suzy has found support in international tastemakers, notably with global stations including Apple Music (Next Up), NTS Radio, BBC 6Music, The Lot Radio and KEXP. Organically accumulating over 2 million streams for ‘Digital girl – funk remix’, she has also received praise from the likes Nina Protocol, marg.mp3, Saint Virgil, Hidden.NY and more for her output that “exists at the intersection of beloved scenes, mixing the moody ambience of Copenhagen indie with the Y2K-glitz of the Janet Jackson dance-pop renaissance” (Soundfynd).

Named after her chaotic alter ego, DJ Suzy’s forthcoming debut album Kira Krash (out October 23) tells visceral and immersive stories. Inviting listeners into a dollhouse fantasy that’s equal parts dreamy and destructive, Kira Krash is built on a foundation of bubbling synths, G-funk basslines, alt-pop, R&B and breakbeat, as DJ Suzy confronts a version of herself she can no longer outrun in one of her most sonically intimate releases yet.

Following recent releases ‘why did i say i loved you?’ and ‘speedboat’, today DJ Suzy reveals ‘sw33t’ as the next cut of Kira Krash. Reminiscent of early PinkPantheress-like production, ‘sw33t’ is reflective of her versatile musical edges as it arrives with sparkling breakbeat layers and a chorus heightened by her one-of-a-kind vocals. A three minute ode to the yearning and lingering of love, lyrically she shares “it captures the thrill of falling in love while trying to deny just how deep the feelings go, comparing love to a guilty addiction – sweet, irresistible, and impossible to quit”. 

With a natural ability to conjure melodies, DJ Suzy’s technicolour sound stands tall as she welcomes listeners into her fully formed Kira Krash world. Since making her live debut at Way Out West Festival in 2023, she has taken her live show across Europe and New York, with headline performances in London, Manchester, Paris, Stockholm and NYC, alongside support dates with Sassy009. This year, she’ll return to the UK and Europe for a select run of shows, including London label Scenic Route’s showcase alongside Locust and Haloplus+, before heading to Paris for Pitchfork Music Festival this November.
