Way We Move‘ is out now, buy/stream it here.

Propulsive pop vocalist, DJ and songwriter Djanaba today shares her first stream of music for 2024, ‘Way We Move’. LISTEN HERE.

‘Way We Move’ is a shapeshifting cut that moves between bubbling dance and two-step to highlight Djanaba’s display production that inspires and uplifts. Dripping in confidence, it channels the unfiltered, vibrant electronic pop akin to her 2023 single ‘F.U.’, which built a base for her glossy, effervescent pop that resonated across triple j for her “level of euphoria that would turn a club into a candy store”, as well as triple j Unearthed, iHeartRadio Australia, SYN FM, 2SER, The Music, Music Feeds and more, proving she is more than capable of holding her own.

Influenced by the recount that saw Djanaba leap in pursuing music full-time, she illustrates “’Way We Move’ has been my life for the last 12 months. I just recently moved to Sydney to push myself and take the jump to pursuing music full time. It’s been scary, but truly has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. This song is very much me appreciating the learning, and growth I’ve made this year with my commitment to bettering myself and my music. It has been a tough twelve months. This song ‘Way We Move’ and all the relationships I’ve made along the way are very much the reward.”

Bridging the pop-club of Eliza Rose and ‘Count Contessa’ with the perceived surface-level shamelessness of Slayyyter and Kim Petras, Djanaba’s transformative craft already knows no bounds. Demonstrating her ability to cater towards high-powered genres and energy, Djanaba has boasted over 1 million streams across her breakout PNAU collaborations ‘Big Titties’ and ‘Don’t Really Care’. Amongst transcendent sets across the AO Finals Festival, NIMA Awards, Groovin’ The Moo, Summer Camp, Spilt Milk and MELT Festival supporting Kah-Lo, Djanaba is fast securing her position as a powerhouse. With a seamless blend of electronic subgenres, her unapologetic nature and authenticity already resonates, with a steady rise that remains imminent.
