Arno Faraji shares new single ‘things change’; announces signing to Astral People
Today, the 18-year old Perth-based, Zimbabwe-born rapper ARNO FARAJI shares his anthemic new single ‘things change’ which premiered on triple j’s Good Nights with Bridget Hustwaite overnight. Listen HERE.
Arno Faraji says, “things change is about the getting used to the idea that nothing is immune to change – even good relationships. I think accepting that it’s a part of life really puts the power in your hands coz you can react however you want knowing that”.
Taking inspiration from artists such as Childish Gambino, Chance the Rapper and Kaytranada, Arno Faraji is making his own great contributions to the landscape of Australian hip hop with his future-leaning productions and quick-witted raps that are at once thought provoking and playful. Faraji continues to impress, rapping, singing, producing and playing every instrument in his music with so much more music ready to go in the pipeline.
With the release of ‘things change’ comes the news of Faraj’s recent management singing to Astral People, the Sydney-based management and touring company behind acts such as Milan Ring, Winston Surfshirt, Cosmo’s Midnight, Basenji and more.
It’s been a busy 2018 for Arno Faraji, who in the last 12 months won triple j’s Unearthed High competition in 2017 (and was the first hip hop artist ever to do so), toured the country alongside the likes of Rejjie Snow, Smino, Tkay Maidza and more and played festivals such as Groovin’ The Moo, BIGSOUND and this year’s Triple J One Night Stand in Tasmania playing to over 20,000 people. Most recently, Faraji collaborated with Remi & Sensible J on their track ‘Bless (What It’s Like)’ making its own waves with full rotation adds across triple j and various Spotify & Apple Music playlists including ‘Best of the Week’ (Apple), and New Music Friday Aus & NZ (Spotify).
