Fortunes share new video + salute remix for 501’s
Fortunes. today share their new video and the salute remix for 501’s. Produced and directed by Nima Nabili Rad, the video follows the songs tongue-in-cheek story of longing for a good looking man in a great pair of jeans. Watch it below.
The duo are also excited to release their official remix for 501’s by the Austrian-born, Brighton-based producer salute. Taking the pair’s dreamy track, the young producer, otherwise known as Felix Nyajo, beautifully delivers a soulful, stripped back rework. Listen below:
salute has had a busy year with the release of his My Heart EP, which includes ‘One More Chance’ featuring D.R.A.M and ‘Storm‘. He has also previously remixed the likes of BANKS and Stwo and supported artists such as Flume and Tourist.
‘501’s’ is the first single by Fortunes. off their forthcoming EP out via Future Classic and follows an exciting few months on the road across their debut headline Australian tour and Newtown, Strawberry Fields and Paradise Music Festivals.
The pair originally met in High School in their native New Zealand before reconnecting at a Melbourne house party. From there, they went on to independently release their 2015 Hoodie EP and early 2016’s Jacket EP, which saw them receive high rotation spins on triple j and support from Jamz Supernova on BBC Radio 1Xtra. They have supported the likes of Shlohmo, Lapsley, Kilo Kish and more and played at festivals such as Splendour In the Grass and Bigsound.
Fans of Fortunes. can catch them live in 2017 supporting AlunaGeorge and performing at Auckland’s St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival.
