Over&Over EP by Jersey is out now, buy/stream it here.

Making their Australian live debut this summer with appearances at Beyond The Valley in Victoria and Field Day in Sydney, French electronic duo Jersey today reveal their Please, Don’t Break Our New Synths tour, announcing a headline show at The Princess Theatre in Brisbane presented by Penny Drop and Frontier Touring. Frontier Member pre-sale commences Friday 25 October 12pm local time ahead of the general on-sale Monday 28 October 12pm local time. Tickets and tour information via frontiertouring.com/jersey.

First rising to fame via their viral DIY living room parties in Paris, Jersey have since positioned themselves as one of the most promising newcomers in the global electronic scene. From secret sets in London and Paris, to sold out world festival tour across MELT! (DE), All Points East (UK), Dour (BE) and FIB (ESP), Portola (US) and more, the duo have continued to skyrocket following the release of their new EP Over&Over earlier this month.

Featuring singles ‘Over&Over’, ‘Ghost Of What Could Be’ and ‘I Need For Speed’, Over&Over is a transportative listen, drawing from brothers Carl and Renaud’s deep musical references inspired by French-touch and indie rock of the BBC Radio waves picked up during their childhood on the Normandy coast. Filtering these influences into a novel and playful sound throughout the EP, Jersey disperse serrated synths and glitchy, ultra-sheen vocals that conjures their one-of-a-kind position in the global electronic space.

Of the project, the duo share, “For now, we’re not calibrated to any particular scene, and that’s something we actually like. We’re really trying to do something that feels more like us, drawing from our more distant musical references. We essentially work with a desire for novelty, making sure to offer something different with each track. We’re super happy to have worked on our voices, their textures, and to have delivered an artistically coherent EP. We also tried out a few offbeat experiments that are close to our hearts and make it meaningful to us too (like ‘Giant Cotton Balls’ and ‘Colors Turn Grey’). What motivates us is really giving these super unique tracks greater visibility, in hopes of expanding, as much as we can at our scale, the vision of freedom in music.”

Trailblazers of the spirited new generation of French electronica, earned consistent radio support across the board from triple j, fbi.radio, 3RRR, SYN FM, Kiss FM UK, George FM NZ, KCRW and BBC 1’s Sian Eleri, who hailed them as “one for the proper speed demons”, alongside praise from tastemakers including Crack Magazine, 10 Magazine, Ones To Watch and more.
