Dynamic French electronic duo Jersey today mark their next entry of new music with the anthemic ‘Ghost Of What Could Be’, out now via Future Classic. LISTEN HERE.
‘Ghost Of What Could Be’ is a driving track, complete with blazing synths and a cutting edge club rhythm. As the second single from the pair this year, ‘Ghost Of What Could Be’ is a nostalgic production venture from start to finish, led by a ghostly voice in their new facet of music that is constructed on a purposeful, dream-beat sound.
Today’s release follows Jersey’s recent ‘I Need For Speed’, a techno-meets-garage cut wholly reflective of the duo as an act, which scored local support from triple j, FBi Radio and more, alongside international praise from the likes of Kiss FM UK, George FM NZ and BBC 1’s Sian Eleri, who hailed it as a “rapid fire tune, barely coming up for air!”
Born and raised across from the Jersey Island and now based in Paris, the music of Jersey (aka brothers Carl and Renaud) is inspired by French-touch and indie rock of the BBC Radio waves they could pick up during their childhood on the Normandy coast. Since first rising to fame via their viral DIY living room parties, Jersey have landed co-signs by artists from the global electronic space including Fred again.., Barry Can’t Swim, Joy Anonymous and more, only further pushing their reputation for their live performance mixing electronic music and rock energy.
Renowned for throwing parties in Paris with their unique blend of house, UK garage and drum and bass, Jersey have positioned themselves as one of the most promising newcomers in the French electronic music scene. Currently on the heels of their sold-out world tour, Jersey are also midway through on an extensive northern hemisphere festival run including MELT! (DE), All Points East (UK), Dour (BE) and FIB (ESP) before heading to the US for Portola and CRSSD.
