Reggae trailblazer Gold Fang is back today with ‘Replay’, his second taste of new music for 2024 out now via NLV Records. The release arrives ahead of More Life, his upcoming inaugural dancehall and reggae party taking place at The Lansdowne in Eora / Sydney this March 23. LISTEN TO ‘REPLAY’ HERE + BUY TICKETS HERE.

Produced by frequent collaborator Miggy, who has credits on previous releases ‘Wet’ and ‘Red Light’, ‘Replay’ sees Gold Fang skillfully lean more into elements of R&B and rap, sharing a peek into the different sides of his artistry that is grounded in his reggae roots and Caribbean vernacular.

Signifying his return to the funk-infused sound that helmed his previous single ‘Move Like This’ as a certified summer anthem, ‘Replay’ showcases his extension as a pioneer in the Australian hip-hop and reggae scene. ‘Replay’ in his words is “Know when when u just wanna keep hearing some shit that make u feel good. Maybe it’s addiction. Idk. Ah Good addiction mahn. Replay. U know maybe a good nite u keep playing in ur head? This song is what that is. I made this song off of a good ass nite. Fly shit. Replay ova and ova again this the song for dat yah mean?”

The release today follows his appearance on triple j’s Like A Version last week where he covered Elton John’s ‘I’m Still Standing’, and comes with the news of his forthcoming event, More Life, taking place next week at The Lansdowne in Eora / Sydney. Caribbean music has always been at the forefront of Gold Fang’s craft and now with help of funding from Great Southern Nights, Gold Fang presents More Life – a celebration of all things Caribbean, spotlighting the country’s best reggae and dancehall artists, DJs and dancers including The Strides, Jazmine Nikitta, Kimani, Mist, Bodega Collective and NLV Soundsystem. The last twelve months has seen Gold Fang continue to canvas his own experiences with identity, culture, talent, and community in the pursuit of music. With tracks including ‘Spaceship’ and ‘Badness Issa Habit‘ embraced by triple j, FBi Radio, Red Bull, NME, Acclaim Magazine, Music Feeds, Sniffers and more who have praised his “smooth grooves of reggae” (triple j) that has “cemented him as a leading artist in a new wave of diverse talent” (Tone Deaf) and “sounds like nothing else in the scene right now” (Acclaim Magazine).

Since the release of his 2023 debut mixtape SMOOVE KILLA, Gold Fang has steadily solidified his position at the forefront of the thriving Afro-Caribbean space. Celebrating momentum as a touring artist, he has supported international heavy-hitters Lil Nas X, Fire Boy DML and J Balvin, played iconic festivals including SXSW Sydney, Field Day, Splendour in the Grass, Promiseland and Beyond The Valley, co-headline shows across New Zealand and Australia with JessB and capped off last year with a string of shows with Safia.
