Introducing YHWH Nailgun: NYC punk ensemble share new track ‘Penetrator’, announce signing to AD 93
Today, four-piece NYC experimental punk band YHWH Nailgun announce their signing to the innovative UK label AD 93 (Moin, James K, Martha Sky Murphy). Alongside this news comes their latest single ‘Penetrator’, out now. LISTEN HERE.
YHWH (pronounced “yahweh”) have quickly made a name for themselves in New York’s experimental scene, with their visceral blend of styles immediately cutting through the noise of an already burgeoning landscape. With two EPs under their belt so far, the band have been making waves touring across the US, UK, and Europe, playing renowned festivals including SXSW Austin, The Great Escape, and most recently Pitchfork Festival in Paris and London, further to sharing stages with the likes of Chanel Beads, Nourished By Time, Black Midi and more.
It is the band’s kinetic energy that sets them apart, and ‘Penetrator’ is a case in point. Everything is built on an otherworldly twitching momentum, conjured up by Sam Pickard (drums), Jack Tobias (synth + electronics), Saguiv Rosenstock (guitar). The inimitable vocals of Zack Borzone cut through their expertly curated cacophony, another rug-pulling moment from a band that deals in the surprising.
After selling out two London shows earlier this year, YHWH Nailgun have just announced a headline show at London’s George Tavern this Saturday, Nov 16. For more details, visit HERE.
