He’s My Man (The Anniversary)’ is out now, buy/stream it here.

Rising noir-pop seductress Luvcat returns today with the anniversary edition of fan-favourite single ‘He’s My Man’ – this time joined by legendary punk poet Dr John Cooper Clarke. A twisted reimagining of one of her most celebrated tracks, the new single is another deliciously wicked entry into Luvcat’s fast-evolving legend – a reminder that in her world, love is always a little dangerous. LISTEN + WATCH HERE.

The collaboration was sparked earlier this year when the pair crossed paths at The Northern Music Awards, where John was honoured and Luvcat scooped Breakthrough Artist of the Year. Speaking on the unlikely partnership, she recalls, “I met John a few months back at The Northern Music Awards. He was being honoured and I won breakthrough artist of the year that night. I was so afraid to speak to him.. my dad was a punk and John’s work was spoken about a lot in our house. I found the courage to go over to his table and he couldn’t have been more sweet to me. I think John is the coolest man in the country and to have him play the role of my poisoned husband for the anniversary of this song is a true honour.”

The video sees the pair return to the thatched cottage in Enfield where the original video for the track was filmed. This time, the scene is even more sinister, as Luvcat explains, “I wanted to make everything darker; riddled with the mania and paranoia of a chainsmoking housewife slowly losing her sanity through her mundane chores and obsession with her man. We were both so busy before the shoot and hadn’t actually had a chance to record the new version. So in between scenes we went to the cottage bedroom and John read me his rewritten verse from a little scribbling on a torn piece of paper. It was all very surreal and spooky. There was actually a hornet swarm when we were filming and everyone was quietly terrified, matching the unsettling atmosphere we tried to create in the song. It was very very fun to be John’s murderous mob bride for the night.”

The release lands in the midst of a whirlwind chapter for Luvcat. With her hotly anticipated debut album Vicious Delicious arriving on October 31 via AWAL, and landing hot on the heels of her most recent single ‘Blushing’, the re-imagined version of ‘He’s My Man’ cements Luvcat’s flair for drama, romance and danger in equal measure.

Vicious Delicious promises to be a whirlwind ride through love, lust and the lunacy in between. Written between Parisian escapades, impromptu studio sessions, and whirlwind romances, the record fuses dark fairytale storytelling with prowling jazz, punk romanticism, and a splash of gothic sparkle. From fan-favourite murder ballads (‘He’s My Man’) to sex-tape serenades (‘Love & Money’) to the delicious danger of the title track, it’s a no-holds-barred debut from an artist quickly becoming a cult icon.

Speaking on her debut, Luvcat adds, “Making this album happened accidentally. Amongst the madness of the last year I decided I didn’t wanna fuck around with EPs or mixtapes. I really wanted to make my first proper statement and when I found out Halloween fell on a Friday, I knew we had to be fast to get it together. Its lipsticks a little smudged and its stockings are a little torn, but I am so proud of how we’ve captured this strange, magical story and all the lovers and libertines I’ve met along the way. I think the record is old school romance slightly off its hinges. A swinging pendulum between love and addiction, ecstasy and melancholy, eroticism and innocence, the deliciously vicious and the viciously delicious.”

Since her explosive debut with ‘Matador’, Luvcat has seduced a fast-growing global fanbase with her intoxicating mix of noir glamour, heart-on-sleeve vulnerability and razor-sharp wit. In just over a year, she’s racked up 35M+ career streams across five singles, sold out tours across the UK, EU, and US, and amassed a devoted following who dress like her, quote her lyrics, and travel continents to be part of the myth. Tipped as one of the Top 3 Artists to Watch in 2025 by Rolling Stone UK, Clash, Notion, Billboard UK, The Independent and more, Luvcat’s star is fast ascending. With over 95 gigs in 20+ countries this year (including performances at Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds, and Radio 1’s Big Weekend), the Vicious Delicious era continues with fire in its belly and lipstick on its collar.

Whether she’s spinning tales of sailors or selling out jazz clubs and headline shows in minutes, Luvcat remains a shapeshifter — part rock’n’roll siren, part Moulin Rouge dream. Raised on a curious cocktail of The Cure and The Rat Pack, with a dash of Nick Cave and a love of eyeliner-soaked drama, Luvcat’s music fuses theatrical decadence with raw emotional electricity. From Liverpool’s backstreets to impromptu Parisian adventures, each track is a chapter in her ever-growing legend.
