Today, Swedish pop visionary Namasenda shares a high-voltage remix of her recent single “Bad Love,” titled “Bad Love +1,” reimagined by Miami producer and DJ Nick León. The original version is taken from her album Limbo, due May 8 via YEAR0001. Twisting the original’s infectious, spiraling chorus into something more urgent and club-driven, Nick León injects a restless, percussive energy that draws on reggaeton to add a sultry, rhythmic pulse. The remix heightens the track’s emotional tension, amplifying the push and pull of desire and frustration at the heart of a toxic relationship, while retaining Namasenda’s signature balance of euphoria and vulnerability.

Listen to “Bad Love +1” here and preorder/presave Limbo here.

Known for his collaborations with artists including Rosalía and Erika de Casier, Nick León’s boundary-pushing debut album A Tropical Entropy showcased his unique ability to blend experimental club beats with pop and reggaeton, further cementing his position as one of the most exciting producers in the game.

The remix follows the recent release of “Bad Love,” “Miami Crest,” and  “Cola,” which introduced Limbo’s captivating, genre-blurring sonic landscape and marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Namasenda. Limbo is Namasenda’s most personal and fully realized body of work to date. Written in Stockholm over two years, the album was born from a period of emotional pressure and loss of control, transforming tension into release. Guided by instinct rather than blueprint, much of the record took shape in the moment, with streams of consciousness captured in real time and feeling taking absolute priority.

Unapologetically pop yet constantly pushing at its edges, Limbo balances euphoric dancefloor impact with raw confession and razor-sharp humor. Endless glamour sits alongside vulnerability, urgency and risk-taking, as Namasenda reclaims pop music as a space for emotional truth. The album features contributions from an all-star team including Noonie Bao & Linus Wiklund (Charli XCX, Avicii), Medium (Ashnikko, Lady Gaga), Minna Koivisto (Fever Ray), and Oscar Scheller, and visual design by Viktor Hammarberg (SZA, Addison Rae), reinforcing the project’s laser-focused position at the forefront of international pop.

With Limbo, Namasenda steps fully into her own, crafting a debut album that does not ask for permission, detonating personal experience into something ecstatic, confrontational and universal.

Emerging from a small town in southern Sweden, Namasenda has become one of modern pop’s most unabashed talents. After cutting her teeth in DIY bands, she broke through in 2017 with the EP hot_babe_93, which gained traction in Sweden’s underground and led to a performance at the P3 Guld Awards. Soon after, she connected with A. G. Cook and became a defining voice on his PC Music label, releasing Unlimited Ammo in 2021, which featured collaborations with Oklou, Mowalola, Hannah Diamond, and La Zowi. A vinyl edition sold out within days, and Namasenda went on to bring her high-energy live shows to stages across Europe and North America, including Primavera Sound, MELT, and Boiler Room. She has collaborated with and fronted projects for brands including Adidas — most recently representing Sweden at its World Cup launch event in Los Angeles this month — alongside Acne Studios, Gentle Monster, Telfar, Dion Lee, and Avavav, cementing her status as a singular style presence whose visual instincts are as daring and distinctive as her sound.

Today’s release arrives alongside news of Namasenda’s upcoming European headline dates. The Limbo Release Shows will see her bring her high-energy live performance to Paris, Berlin and London this summer, including a headline London date at The Lower Third. Tickets are on sale here.
