Rising South London-born artist/producer Nate Brazier today releases his sophomore EP Nothing Sacred via Parlophone. LISTEN HERE + WATCH HERE.

Alongside the release, Nate has shared a striking and contemplative performance video for EP highlight ‘Putting On Airs’, directed by Sarah E. Speaking on the track, Nate explains: “Putting On Airs started out as a long freestyle, taking a swipe at consumerism and the fronts or airs that we’re expected to put on. I wanted to keep the first half really simple, then the track’s co-producer Tev’n helped build the second half into this off-kilter symphony.”

Nothing Sacred marks the beginning of a journey towards authenticity and individuality for 20-year-old Nate Brazier, building his own rich tapestry of music into a singular vocabulary. So far Nate has shared two tracks from the EP, ‘Teasing The Thread’ and ‘Episode’ – both of which illustrate a level of youthful complexity far beyond his years and introduce themes of faith and reverence that run throughout the body of work. Featuring co-writes from Maverick Sabre (Nia Archives, Kojey Radical, Rudimental) and consistent collaborator Tev’n (Joy Crookes, Celeste, Grace Carter), the project takes a critical look at established norms of society, family, and culture. Speaking on the EP, Nate explains: “The main focus for the EP was a search for identity, in particular since turning 20, after the last EP was centred around my teens and growing up with friends. ‘Nothing Sacred’ looks at the rejection of an inherited moral compass, and a redefinition of personal values.”

Nate Brazier’s artistry is injecting a breath of fresh air into the alt-R&B space, bringing colour to greyscale coming-of-age moments. Incorporating elements of experimental, alternative pop, and hip-hop, his music is steeped in the heritage of electronic music – but the difference is he’s writing about his formative years. Think late-night street-roaming, listening to music in parked cars, and curbing hometown monotony with your chosen family. In February Nate set the tone with the release of his debut project YSK, alongside an accompanying 6-track visual EP that introduced Nate’s nocturnal world. Watch it HERE. Delving deeper into the club influences of the EP, Nate also curated a remix package featuring hotly-tipped producer p-rallel, NiNE8 collective co-founder Mac Wetha, and notorious party-starter, Ahadadream.

Nate’s early releases have amassed over 3M+ streams, featuring on Spotify’s coveted POLLEN playlist and has seen co-signs from Kojey Radical, Louis Culture, and Potter Payper. TikTok has been a defining force in how Nate has released music so far, building his fanbase through a series of cinematic TikTok videos which depict the world he shares with close friends. accumulating over 10M+ video views on the platform and simultaneously picking up fans across press and radio including Clash’s ’Ones to Watch’, Pigeons & Planes ‘Best New Artists’, Notion, Wonderland, NME, Jack Saunders ‘Next Wave’ on BBC R1, Sian Anderson’s ’Next Generation’ on BBC 1Xtra, Jamz Supernova, BBC Introducing and BBC 6 Music’s Mary Anne Hobbs’ ‘Hit Reset’, ’New Music Fix’ playlists and most recent ‘Guest Mix’. In such a short space of time, Nate Brazier is an essential new artist to watch.

To celebrate the release of the EP, Nate has announced his debut headline live show at London’s The Pickle Factory on October 17. Sign up for access to pre-sale tickets now via Nate’s mailing list www.natebrazier.com. General release tickets go on sale Thursday 17 August.
