Offbeat Collective, the community-driven and artist-run creative space today announce the launch of their new label in joint venture with Xelon Digital. To celebrate, they’ll be hosting a launch party in Gadigal/Sydney as part of Great Southern Nights on March 29 where they will also unveil their debut compilation mixtape featuring artists from the Offbeat Collective community. BUY TICKETS HERE.
Founded by Jannah Beth and Drew Bisset, Offbeat Collective began in 2021 as a studio space to create, collaborate and connect, built on the principles of inclusivity and reinvesting back into artists. Now in its fourth year, they’ve evolved into a home for creativity – from studios to artist development programs (ONE OFF TRAKS and UP NEXT), they foster a sustainable music culture for all by removing barriers and creating space for underrepresented voices to thrive.
Dedicated to supporting the artists who create the fabric of our cultural identity, today they step into their next chapter as a label in partnership with global music distributor Xelon Digital. With their feet firmly on the ground, the roster sees local signings including DEVAURA, Sachém, ANESU, Malaika Mfalme, Emerald & Jannah Beth and more.
Jannah Beth shares “Offbeat Collective has always been about artists creating space for other artists. Evolving into an artist-run label feels like the natural next step, an inevitable extension of what we’ve been building. It’s about putting the power back into the hands of creatives and fostering a community where collaboration, independence, and sustainability are at the forefront.”
To celebrate the launch of the label, Offbeat Collective announce they will be releasing a compilation record that features some key artists from the community, as well as an official Offbeat Collective Showcase as part of Great Southern Nights on March 29 at a secret Inner West Location. Featuring a lineup of performances from Jamaica Moana, Jannah Beth, Emerald, Malaika Mfalme, ANESU, Sachém, Ruu., Chelle Tamika, Jeauneil, Akala Newman, G Rebel and a secret afterparty guest, tickets for the night are on sale now.
