Parisalexa shares new track “2 Real”

November 13 2019

Seattle’s rising R&B powerhouse, Parisalexa, today shares “2 Real” off her forthcoming debut full-length album. “2 Real” triumphantly describes a journey through betrayal to understand the value of self-worth. Listen HERE.

Parisalexa creates R&B with hints of soul, jazz, and hip hop. Garnering comparisons to ’90s greats like Monica or Faith Evans, 21-year-old Paris has already made fans at NPR Music, Genius, KEXP, Seattle Times, Nylon, among others, for her stunning voice.

Earlier this summer, Paris released new music with Xavier Omar & Sango and Tuxedo, toured the West Coast with Ivy Sole, and appeared on NBC’s ‘Songland.’

Parisalexa today also confirms a US tour with Xavier Omar to kick off in January. Find all dates below and here.

Says Parisalexa about writing “2 Real,” “When I wrote this song I was fed up. I felt betrayed by people that I put my trust in (men, friends, collaborators) and I really took a moment to reevaluate my expectations of others. I reassessed a lot of relationships, and fortunately met new friends that reciprocated what I was putting out. They showed me that not everyone is fake, not everyone says they’re going to do something and doesn’t do it. So that’s where I am now; too genuine for the average friendship, too deep for a surface level relationship. And I’ve learned my true value. No matter what the vibe around me is, I’m perfectly fine with being too real.”

2 Real” is out now, buy/stream it on Spotify, Apple Music and more here.
