Rochelle Jordan Returns With “Fill Me In”
British Jamaican-born, Toronto-raised, now LA-based, Rochelle Jordan,today returns with “Fill Me In” off a forthcoming album due out in 2020. Produced by longtime collaborator KLSH, this is the first solo work from Rochelle Jordan since her 2014 critically acclaimed debut full-length, 1021. Listen to the minimal, yet bold, R&B gem HERE.
Says Jordan, “‘Fill Me In’ always makes me float when I hear it but but more than anything this release is me wanting to get back in touch with my day one fans. I know they’ve been waiting awhile for me to open up and honestly so have I… I can be a little shy at times. So I want to start with this track and resume a conversation I so much missed having with them.”
Over the last decade, Rochelle Jordan has become known for her innovative take on R&B, pop, and dance, often arranging her tracks with uncommon melodies, lyrics, production and vocals.Her unique flow has garnered praise from Pitchfork, Vice, Complex, Billboard, Fader, I-D, among others; landed her on US tours with Jessie Ware, JMSN as well as an appearance on Adult Swim’s “Black Celebrity.” Childish Gambino tapped Jordan for his 2013 grammy-nominated Because the Internet album, Jordan co-wrote and featured on the track “III. Telegraph Ave.”
Since the release of 1021 (currently at +10Million streams across DSPs), Jordan has been consistently writing & releasing music with many artists including Illangelo, Machinedrum, Jimmy Edgar and Jacques Greene.
