Today, singer, dancer, producer, and all around artist Rodney Chrome shares “BBL” and announces a brand new project, GO, executive produced by underscores (Oklou, Jane Remover), to come October 17. “BBL” is an assertion of Rodney’s organic talent as a singer, dancer, and producer straddling the worlds of pop drama and hyperpop maximalism, hip-hop flow, and the ever-widening ethos of electronic music. In the video, the Little Rock, AR-born, NY-based artist showcases both his natural skill for movement and the endless drive and energy available to catapult him to the very top. Originally a dancer, he’s able to tell the story of his music with every part of himself, and in this video he leaves no crumbs behind.

Of the track, Rodney Chrome says, “Arkansas is known as the Natural State. This is some real homegrown Southern shit. Cornbread, collard greens; the kind of food that puts weight in the right places. Whatever mama cooked went straight to the thighs. This one’s boastful, all about natural gains. No shade to the BBL girls, though.”

Complete with a beefy dancer masked in a branded “CHROME” hood, his recent COLORS performance was styled in legendary Pelle Pelle and underground streetwear brand, earthling; Rodney brought the creative wherewithal to inject his artistry into a previously formulaic stage.
