Chanpan began when Grace Dumdaw and twin brothers Lance and Matthew Tran decided to busk in Chinatown, NYC. Since then, they’ve been praised by Vogue as a “very cool New York band” and named as one the “Riot Grrrls of 2025” by Numéro Tokyo. The trio’s individual accolades in politics, community organizing, and film & television have also been featured by The New Yorker, HBO, Billboard, CNN, and more.
