Cults
Cults have captivated audiences & pop culture for years with their cinematic style. The duo of Madeline Follin & Brian Oblivion first emerged out of New York City as film students with their irresistible bedroom pop single, ‘Go Outside’, taken from their self-titled debut album praised by Pitchfork, New York Times & many more. The pair toured the world with festival performances at Coachella, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, and Primavera Sound & appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon as well as supported Vampire Weekend, Foster The People, and The Pixies. Follin & Oblivion then began to collaborate across genres including co-writes with The Weeknd, G-Eazy, Freddie Gibbs and sampled by Cam’ron & most notably J. Cole with ‘Bad Things’ on his six-time platinum hit, ‘She Knows (feat. Cults & Amber Coffman)’. Static, their much anticipated follow-up LP released three years later, eclipsed their prior success with the platinum-certified throwback ballad ‘Always Forever’ clocking in over 500M streams.
In the midst of the pandemic, Host evolved their sound further to critical acclaim from NPR, Paste, Clash & Stereogum & eventually playing for their devoted fans with sold-out headlining national tours & packed festival crowds at Just Like Heaven & Oshega. To date, the catalog has catapulted to over 1,500,000,000 streams with syncs across major networks such as Netflix, HBO, Showtime, & ABC plus collaborations with filmmakers such as Jim Jarmusch & heard in global brand campaigns from Garnier, Madewell & Vuori.
