Jarred Beeler burst onto the scene with his 2018 debut EP on Air Max ‘97’s DECISIONS label, blending Lebanese rhythms and melodies with precision electronic production under the moniker DJ Plead. His music draws on the rhythms and timbres of his Lebanese heritage as well as the sounds of 2000s RnB, Club and other dance styles. Co-founder of the SUMAC label alongside Logic1000, Cassius Select, and Utility, Plead’s distinctive sound—marked by intricate drums and Eastern scales—has gained international attention with a Rinse FM residency and releases on Nervous Horizon, AD93, and Livity Sound. His 2020 LP, Relentless Trills (Boomkat’s Documenting Sound), showcased his evolving style beyond club confines, deepening his signature fusion of tradition and innovation.
