Grace Robinson
Grace Robinson is a Naarm-based creative chameleon, often spotted wearing one of her many hats: performer (across a range of projects), booking agent, bass player—and, most reliably, her obnoxious bogan hat. Best known as the powerhouse lead singer of electro-soul outfit Empress, she’s toured extensively and lit up major festival stages including Sun Cycle, Strawberry Fields, Meadow, and Beyond The Valley. Now, she’s turning heads with her solo project: a deliciously unfiltered blend of indie rock, emotional oversharing, and dry wit, all wrapped around her signature mint-green Danelectro guitar and an all-star band.
Her songs are equal parts epic anthem and open therapy session, drawing inspiration from the likes of Sharon Van Etten, Phoebe Bridgers, and Julia Jacklin. By the end of her set, you’ll likely know all about her latest breakthrough, her mum, and why she still firmly believes that if Collingwood had made finals, they’d have gone back-to-back.
