Mariae Cassandra is one of Australia’s most exciting new voices – a songwriter whose intimate bedroom-pop beginnings have rapidly evolved into a globally resonant career.

Hailing from Perth, Western Australia, Mariae first built a devoted audience online through YouTube and TikTok, where her honest lyricism and soft-glow melodies connected with millions. In 2024, she took out triple j Unearthed High with her breakout single “Million Billion Trillion” – a tender ode to friendship that introduced her gift for crafting timeless, heart-on-sleeve songs with the dreamy charm of her inspirations, beabadoobee and Clairo.

Momentum built quickly. She toured nationally supporting WAFIA, signed to SelectMusic and released ‘Seventeen’ via AWAL, landing on major international playlists including a cover spot on Fresh Finds Global.By 2025, Mariae had firmly positioned herself as one to watch – warming up main stages at Laneway Festival for Charli XCX and beabadoobee, touring nationally with Kita Alexander, playing select shows alongside The Buoys, supporting Spacey Jane and boywithuke, earning a place in Live Nation’s Ones To Watch and showcasing at BIGSOUND and SXSW Sydney.

In January 2026, Mariae stepped confidently into her headline era with her debut national tour, selling out multiple nights across Perth (x2), Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide. Weeks later, she performed her first international headline show in London before heading to SXSW Austin in March – marking a major step onto the global stage. She continues her festival run across Australia with performances at HereComes The Sun, alongside Lime Cordiale, The Jungle Giants, Young Franco and Sycco.
