Namasenda
Naomi Namasenda emerged from a small town in southern Sweden to become one of modern pop music’s most unabashed talents. What began as a career in DIY bands has since evolved into a wholly solo endeavor, with her recent work in particular showcasing her prowess as both songwriter and performer. Through this, she defines a distinctly personal vision of pop creativity—a “perishable good,” as she calls it, meant to be shared when the moment calls for it.
Her first break through arrived in 2017 with “hot_babe_93,” an EP that gained traction in Sweden’s underground, leading to a performance at the country’s P3 Guld Awards. In 2021, she connected with A.G. Cook and PCMusic to release “Unlimited Ammo,” a record alive with shifting identities and collaborative energy, featuring contributions from Mowalola, Oklou, and La Zowi. A vinyl edition followed soon after, selling out within days. Namasenda has performed across the world, including major festivals such as Primavera Sound and MELT.
