Gold Coast-based rapper Saint Lane graces us with yet another playful bop, ‘Pitbull Type Beat‘. A suiting follow up from recent releases ‘Sugary Sweet’ and ‘Compliment My Shirt‘, the track features Lane’s trademark wry playfulness paired with impactful production, with a Snakehips-type energy that will stay in your head for days after listening. Listen to it HERE.

Of the track Lane recalls “Pitbull Type Beat is about a crazy night out I had in 2018 that led me to discover my love for Pitbull, an artist I’d previously hated, but had in a moment of peak intoxication finally understood it.

In no time at all, Lane has gone on to receive over 100k online streams, radio playlist additions from FBi Radio and triple j and featured as the triple j Unearthed Feature Artist. Live, Saint Lane has also supported Baker Boy across his Brisbane show last month, played his debut Sydney show as part of Vivid’s Inner Westival event Heads Up and Korea’s Ultra Music Festival after a chance crossing of paths with the festival booker only weeks before.

2019 is set out to be the year of Saint Lane with a recent spot on triple j’s ‘Bars of Steel’ program and upcoming festival appearances at Bigsound this September and SandTunes alongside the likes of Travis ScottLogic, Carly Rae Jepsen. Plus a recently announced tour with Slum Sociable.  All dates below.
