Kicking off Season 3 with the exhilarating announcement of her pregnancy, Linda has continued to break new ground with Tough Love as she unpacks the triumphs, hardships, and relatable revelations from this new phase of her life. Seeing the return of some iconic guests from previous seasons, including Linda’s mum (and fan favourite) Janet, Linda has expanded the Tough Love family with a major lineup of local and international guests throughout the new season.
Whether it’s digging deep on discipline and perfectionism with professional tennis and pickleball player Genie Bouchard, balancing relationship equity with renowned psychotherapist Israa Nasir, musing on long distance love with Sophie Ansari, unpacking all things egg-freezing with fertility specialist Dr. Jenny Cook, proclaiming the importance of ice-cream with comedian Aaron Chen – not to mention a podcast guest swap with award-winning TV personality and podcast host Osher Günsberg – Linda never fails to uncover essential insights from some of the most integral figures in today’s pop cultural fabric.
In the latest episode, Linda is 39 weeks pregnant and ready to pop as she checks in with her loved ones, including her best friend Samantha who has just given birth herself. Together they discuss what to expect from the birthing experience itself, as well as life with a newborn, ahead of what will be a brief intermission for the podcast as Linda welcomes her first child.
Speaking on the progression of Season 3 so far, Linda shares, “It feels so unreal to reflect on this series that started during lockdown and long distance, and to now be about to give birth to our baby girl. I’m excited to step back from the mic for a minute in order to embrace the motherhood ride!”
Celebrated for her unparalleled candidness and curiosity, Linda has vehemently affirmed her place as a revered agony aunt and one of the nation’s leading creatives across audio and literature. Alongside Tough Love, for which she’s earned the title of Best Host at the 2024 Radio Today Podcast Awards, as well as the official RØDE Prize, Linda has drawn further critical acclaim as an author with her groundbreaking memoir Love Language – a fiercely relatable and viscerally honest account of what it means to love, and to be loved – as well as her recent contribution to Harper’s Bazaar Australia sharing her invaluable experience on egg freezing and fertility.
No matter the medium, Linda Marigliano radiates authenticity, empowering her loyal listeners with the tools to navigate the universally felt experiences and leading towards the ultimate goal of cultivating connection. Stay tuned for more to come from Tough Love, with Season 3 recommencing soon.
What initially began as an audio documentary about one of the sh*ttest times of her life, has been embraced as a universally lauded diary that empowers its listeners through similarly felt experiences: tackle heartache in the face of distance and loss, manage the physical manifestation of stress, navigate loyalty and duty from afar, to the very question of a relationship standing the test of time. As she arms listeners with the tools to navigate rewarding risks and negotiate their boundaries, Linda arrives at her biggest reckoning in realising she’s a people pleaser, setting the scene for her critically acclaimed memoir. While at times it feels like she’s never left, Season 2 saw Linda grapple with the very essence of change and control through a string of emotional lessons to arrive at a place of peace and featured guests such as Jessie Ware, Benny Blanco, Anna Lunoe, Kumi Taguchi, Becky Lucas, Steph Clare Smith, Benjamin Law and many more. With Season 3 came the big announcement of her pregnancy, and throughout the season, moved through the triumphs, hardships, and relatable revelations from this new phase of her life that featured Genie Bouchard, Israa Nasir, Sophie Ansari, Osher Günsberg and more. Proudly presented by Pandora, the world’s largest jewellery brand since starting as a small jewellery shop in Copenhagen, Denmark more than 40 years ago, now present in over 100 countries.
