These New South Whales share new single ‘We Don’t Need You Anymore’
Sydney’s favourite punk underdogs These New South Whales today share their new single ‘We Don’t Need You Anymore‘, taken off their forthcoming debut LP out in 2017. Recorded in a WWII bunker in Camden, Australia, the one and half minute track follows their previously released single ‘Meat Hook‘ and captures the band at their best; uncensored, angsty and raw. Watch the video for ‘We Don’t Need You Anymore‘ illustrated and edited by Carla Uriarte below:
Lead vocalist, Jamie Timony aka The Workhorse says of the track, “Will (bass) quit the band one day so the rest of us got together and wrote a song called We Don’t Need You Anymore. It sounded rubbish without bass though so we asked if he would come back and he did. We told him it’s a song about the government but it’s not. It’s about him”.
Revered for their explosive and magnetic live performances, These New South Whales’ debut album is set to be one of the most highly anticipated punk albums of 2017.
‘We Don’t Need You Anymore‘ is out now and available to buy/stream here.
