PRAISE FOR YHWH Nailgun
“It’s a vocalist that sounds in need of an exorcist; a guitar that sounds nothing like a guitar. It’s synthesizers that roll around in your guts and loosen every screw and it’s the shit.”
“Primal and evocative”
“As satisfying as it is destructive”

New York experimental rock band YHWH Nailgun have announced their debut album 45 Pounds, set for release on March 21 via AD 93. Today, the band also share their new track ‘Sickle Walk’. LISTEN TO ‘SICKLE WALK’ HERE.
45 Pounds is a record of thrilling cacophony. Whirring drums meet the sound of instruments which have been twisted and bent into new shapes, all of which are paired with the arresting growls of lead vocalist Zack Borzone. Across the record, the four-piece reimagine what is possible within the confines of a band set up, creating music that perfectly encapsulates the information overload of our times.
A sharp burst of skeletal rhythms and gnarled vocals, ‘Sickle Walk’ is another seething example that is so singular in nature, yet another rug-pulling moment from a band that deals in the surprising. Conjured up by Sam Pickard (drums), Jack Tobias (synth + electronics), Saguiv Rosenstock (guitar) and lead vocalist Zack Borzon, ‘Sickle Walk’ is rife with the kinetic energy that sets them apart, asserting their position in the wider punk scene.
