Ninajirachi

Ninajirachi’s personal brand of EDM is woven tightly into her DNA. Raised on the Central Coast, surrounded by natural wonders, she spent her formative years exploring outside, playing Nintendo DS-era Pokémon games and listening to EDM. Fantasy worlds, technology and the natural world are awe-inspiring in equal measure for the  DJ and producer – and that surprising confluence of influences are on full display in her breakout mixtape Second Nature and swift follow up project girl EDM. Throughout her work, Ninajirachi explores the initial sounds that first inspired her to pursue music production, creating a tapestry of experimental soundscapes, 2010s-inspired club beats and melodic lines as sweeping as the sky and sea. This is the music Ninajirachi was born to make culminating in her debut album I Love My Computer – a thread between reality and the vivid experiences that computers can uncover, where virtual limits don’t exist – set to defy boundaries of category and genre.

As a two-time triple j Unearthed High finalist, Ninajirachi emerged in 2016 and has since gone on to win the hearts of dance music fans, with an extensive back catalog that includes two solo EPs Lapland and Blumiere, alongside her highly acclaimed seven-track EP with Kota Banks, True North and 2021 double-single ‘Dracodraco / Stoneteller’ which was co-released on legendary producer RL Grime’s Sable Valley. Her take on pop experimentalism has seen her move the needle and steadily climb the ranks, having gained international attention from the likes of Anthony Fantano, Derrick Gee, Alison Wonderland, A-Trak, Dillon Francis, RL Grime, Anna Lunoe; through to remixes for Deadmau5 and The Neptunes, Flight Facilities, Hermitude, 1300, and more. Beyond her work inside the studio, she has also toured alongside Mallrat, What So Not, Charli XCX, and Cashmere Cat, built her own annual, sold out, curated event Dark Crystal, and hit festival stages including Dark Mofo, Splendour In The Grass, Field Day and Listen Out and upcoming multi-hyphenate appearances at Wildlands, and Spilt Milk.
